staying at tamara’s becomes George Ezra’s second UK number 1 album with biggest album week sales of the year
(London – April 3, 2018) – George Ezra today celebrates his second UK Number 1 album as his acclaimed new long player Staying At Tamara’s hits the UK summit with the biggest album week sales of the year so far. The album has been propelled by lead single “Paradise,” which this week climbed to Number 2 in the UK singles chart, and ends the 11-week reign of The Greatest Showman OST at the top of the Official Albums Chart.
“It’s incredible to think that the album is now out and in people’s cars, homes and soundtracking people’s lives,” says George. “For it to have made it to Number 1 is so amazing! I still can’t quite get my head around it”.
Staying At Tamara’s is available in digital, CD, cassette and vinyl formats, and arrives nearly four years after the release of his multi-platinum and also-chart topping debut album Wanted On Voyage. Described by George as a collection of “songs about escapism, dreaming, anxieties and love,” Staying at Tamara’s has received widespread critical acclaim, with glowing reviews from The Sunday Times, The Sun, NME, Mail on Sunday and DIY. The album also features “Hold My Girl,” “Pretty Shining People,” “Saviour,” “Don’t Matter Now” and “Shotgun.”
