Since its release, “Hey Mom I Made it” has connected with countless music fans who have taken to social media to tag the song and share moments of their achievements, healing, and growth, becoming the soundtrack to resilience and celebration.
This premiere marks a significant milestone in Sacha’s career and promises to captivate country music fans everywhere. Directed by Jeff Johnson (Carrie Underwood, Megan Moroney, Mitchell Tenpenny), the video vividly brings to life the song’s powerful lyrics, chronicling Sacha’s personal and professional journey filled with challenges and triumphs. The video was filmed in Nashville and features appearances by country music artists Tyler Booth and Cam Bogle.
The video showcases Sacha’s resilience and determination, visualizing roadblocks, setbacks, and eventual victories. “Yea I’ve been through hell and back again – and I’m still standing,” she sings, offering an inspiring message of perseverance and strength.
The anthemic single was written by Sacha, Shawn Chambliss and Jake Saghi, and produced by Jimmy Robbins (Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Sabrina Carpenter) and Eric Arjes (Tim McGraw, Kane Brown, blackbear) in Nashville, Tennessee. “Hey Mom I Made It” is a testament to Sacha’s vocal prowess and vivid storytelling ability.
This premiere follows an impressive 12 months for Sacha, including appearances at the CMA (Country Music Association) Awards in Nashville; the JUNO Awards in Halifax, Canada; a performance at the 2023 CCMAs (Canadian Country Music Awards); and releasing her first single since signing to a major label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada. This fall she heads out on a Canadian tour supporting Tenille Townes.
About Sacha
Since the release of her EP The Best Thing in July 2020, Sacha has been a rising star. Following her debut EP release, she was named iHeartRadio’s “Future Star” and included in CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2021. In 2021, Sacha earned her first certified-platinum single alongside The Reklaws with their viral hit track “What The Truck,” which was the fastest-ever Canadian country song to go platinum in the streaming era.
Sacha has been featured in major television, print, and online press including CMT, Music Row Magazine, American Songwriter, Rolling Stone Country, Billboard, and The Boot, while also appearing on A-list editorial playlists on Spotify, Apple & Amazon Music. In 2022 she landed her first-ever CCMA Award for Top Selling Canadian Single (“What The Truck” with The Reklaws). That same weekend, Sacha was also named the winner of SiriusXM’s Top of The Country contest, and she spent the fall of 2022 on tour in the US with Maddie & Tae.
Sacha kicked off 2023 singing the Canadian anthem at that year’s NHL All Star game. She followed this up with the May release of her third EP, Confident, and showed her global appeal with a performance at the UK’s Long Road Festival in August. And just two days before performing “Confident” alongside Tyler Shaw at the 2023 CCMAs in September, she landed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment Canada.
Sacha’s first major label release — the uplifting, heartfelt “Hey Mom I Made It” — is just one of many new songs she is excited to share with fans in the coming months, as she continues to blaze her own fiery trail in country music.
