[June 14, 2024, Toronto, ON] – Today, rising R&B superstar Aqyila continues her ascent, releasing the soulful track “Unbothered.” Listen here.

On the track, Aqyila takes back her power, with a slinky melody and a wicked self-assurance. “Who’s stressing / won’t be me / cause I can love myself / better than you love me,” she sings. Aqyila knows her worth, content to let the universe step in and deal with her ex-lover, finding strength in walking away. “I found my peace in karma / I’m sexier I’m hotter / I’m happier without ya / I like to be unbothered.” This is an R&B jam from a talent who is becoming a powerhouse in the genre.

“Unbothered” comes from the same unstoppable team that brought listeners “Bloom,” Aqyila’s international viral sensation released earlier this year. Co-written by Aqyila and Maya J’an Brown, and produced by Jonathan Elkær (Alina Baraz, Khalid), “Unbothered” continues Aqyila’s incredible year, marked by a JUNO win for ‘Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year’ for “Hello” earlier this Spring.
