Peking Duk return with a vengeance with the release of their epic new project, REPRISAL.
REPRISAL is a body of work consisting of two new tracks, ‘Fire’ and ‘Distant Arizona’ feat. Cloud Control, accompanied by an incredible cinematic video directed and produced by one of Peking Duk’s best mates, Ryan Sauer. The video for REPRISAL encapsulates the recurring theme of vengeance and retribution with thrilling influences from Spaghetti Westerns and Tarantino films, as well as cameos from friends and fellow musicians, with Jack Thompson narrating. Watch and listen HERE.
‘Fire’ glorifies the satisfaction of revenge against a partner who shows continuous displays of power and degradation. Protraying a woman’s perspective, ‘Fire’ implies that something – potentially a passionate reprisal – is coming.
‘Distant Arizona’ is the tale of a cowboy who awakens to discover his partner has left and stolen his possessions. He embarks on a passionate mission for revenge. Featuring the talented Alister Wright of Cloud Control, ‘Distant Arizona’ was written and recorded in Mumbai at YRF studios, and also features one Bollywood’s great sitar players, Ravi Chary.
REPRISAL arrives as Peking Duk continue THE WASTED TOUR across the country, with sold-out shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth and limited tickets remaining in Melbourne and Adelaide. Their fully live show has received critical acclaim as they continue their biggest Australian tour to date.
Peking Duk have reached 180 million streams globally to date. With a 2017 ARIA Award for ‘Song Of The Year’ under their belt and their most recent single ‘Wasted’ now ARIA Gold accredited with over 10 million streams already worldwide, this is just the beginning for Peking Duk’s Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles.
