I’m Not Dead, P!NK’s fourth studio album, was released on April 4, 2006 (the sixth anniversary of the release of her debut, Can’t Take Me Home) and shattered P!NK’s self-imposed three-year hiatus. Much more than a hugely successful comeback record, I’m Not Dead was a declaration of P!NK’s commitment to pop-rock excellence, merging provocative lyric content to deep dance grooves. The album featured P!NK’s first two RIAA platinum singles: the notorious “Stupid Girls,” a Top 20 Billboard 200 hit that earned the artist an MTV Video Music Award for Best Pop Video, and the Top 10 smash “U + Ur Hand.” Certified RIAA double platinum in the US, I’m Not Dead was an international sensation, going double platinum in Canada and Australia, where it spent 62 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 and became the #1 top-selling album by an American or a female artist for two years in a row (2006 and 2007). I’m Not Dead became P!NK’s first #1 album in Germany.
P!NK’s fifth studio album, 2008’s Funhouse entered the Billboard 200 at #2, reached #1 in seven countries including Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom and has sold 7 million copies worldwide. The album introduced the world to several new P!NK hit singles including “Sober,” “Please Don’t Leave Me,” “Funhouse,” “I Don’t Believe You,” “Glitter in the Air”, and the US #1 “So What.” Funhouse generated three Grammy Award nominations and five MTV Video Music Award nominations.
Released on September 18, 2012 on RCA Records, P!NK’s sixth studio album, The Truth About Love features guest artists Eminem, Lily Allen, and Nate Ruess (from Fun) and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, landing P!NK in the US top slot for the first time. The album also debuted at #1 in Australia (where it became the year’s top-selling album), Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland. The Truth About Love was 2012’s the seventh best-selling in the world. The first single from the album, the RIAA certified platinum “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” held down the #5 spot for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted Top 10 (or better) in several other countries. The second single, “Try” echoed that success while “Just Give Me a Reason,” the album’s third single, became the artist’s fourth-ever #1 on the Hot 100, making The Truth About Love the first P!NK album since 2001, to generate more than Hot 100 Top 10s.
