NASHVILLE, TN – Breakthrough star Kane Brown makes history this week by achieving #1 on all five U.S. Billboard country charts! Brown is the first artist ever to top Billboard’s Top Country Albums, Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Songs charts simultaneously.
Brown takes the #1 slot on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart with his self-titled debut album on RCA Nashville/Zone 4 by amassing 43,000 in first-week consumption with the release of the Deluxe Edition on October 6. The album goes #5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 all-genre chart, the 23-year-old singer/songwriter’s first Top 5 on that chart. Brown’s original version of the album debuted at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Albums and Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and remains country’s best-selling new-artist debut of the past three years. The Top Country Albums chart reflects traditional albums sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums compiled by Nielsen Music. The Deluxe Edition is available HERE.
On Billboard’s Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts, the Platinum-certified smash hit “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina tops all three charts this week. This marks Kane Brown’s first #1 airplay single, his first week having the #1 streaming song and, after ending Sam Hunt’s 34-consecutive-week #1 hold last week, his second week at #1 on the Hot Country Song chart. The Hot Country Songs chart reflects tracks sales, airplay and streaming and the Country Streaming chart reflects the week’s top-streamed country songs. This week, “What Ifs” also reached the summit of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay chart, a first for the artist.
The fifth U.S. Billboard chart Brown tops this week is the Country Digital Songs. “Heaven,” one of four new songs on the Kane Brown Deluxe Edition, debuts at #1 with 35,000 total first-week consumption. The track enters at #8 on the all-genre Billboard Digital Song chart. The Country Digital Songs chart reflects the week’s top-selling paid download country songs.
About Kane Brown Even before signing his record deal in early 2016, rising star Kane Brown had already established a passionate online following in the millions. Almost immediately, the RCA Nashville/Zone 4 singer/songwriter was making chart history with the release of Chapter 1 which became the highest-debuting country EP of the Nielsen SoundScan era and featured the RIAA Gold-certified “Used to Love You Sober.” His Kane Brown full-length released in December 2016, debuting at #1 on U.S. Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top 10 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. Kane Brown also claimed the #4 spot as the best-selling new-artist album debut of 2016, in any genre. The October 6, 2017 release of the 15-song Kane Brown Deluxe Edition builds on that success with four new tracks including “Setting the Night on Fire—a duet with Brown’s hero and RCA labelmate Chris Young—and “Found You,” a track that entered U.S. Billboard ’s Country Digital Song Sales chart at #1. Of special note, every album, EP, single and instant grat track Brown has ever released has achieve #1 on U.S. iTunes country charts. Earlier this year, Brown impressively earned his first ACM award nomination as New Male Vocalist of the Year, as well as a CMT Music Awards Breakthrough Video of the Year nod for “Used to Love You Sober.” In addition to headlining his own series of sold-out tour dates, Brown was tapped for Florida Georgia Line’s 2016 summer tour and is currently a special guest on Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour. Beyond his flourishing music career—and inspired by his personal experiences and a desire to lend his voice as a platform—Brown recently partnered with Make Room, the nation’s leading organization addressing the rental housing crisis in the U.S. www.kanebrownmusic.com
