‘UNREAL UNEARTH’ TOUR RETURNS TO NORTH AMERICA NEXT MONTH;
INCLUDES FOUR SOLD-OUT NIGHTS AT NY’S FOREST HILLS AND THREE NIGHTS AT LA’S KIA FORUM
Today, award winning / RIAA Diamond-certified singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Hozier has released his new EP Unheard. Featuring four unreleased tracks from Hozier’s Unreal Unearth album sessions, Unheard includes “Wildflower and Barley,” a duet with GRAMMY® winning artist Allison Russell, and the highly anticipated “Too Sweet,” which has already garnered an explosive reaction from fans who have quickly embraced the song on TikTok. Listen to the EP HERE and see full tracklisting below.
In speaking about Unheard, Hozier says: “It’s my pleasure to share more work from the (Unreal Unearth) album sessions. These are songs that might’ve made it to the circles of gluttony, limbo, violence, and the outward ‘ascent,’ respectively, but could not for different reasons. I’m very glad I get to share them with you now. I hope you enjoy these new songs and I look forward to perhaps seeing you at an upcoming show soon!”
Allison Russell adds: “It’s always a joy singing with Hozier— I’ve been fortunate to do so live on stage many times since we first met singing with Queen Mavis at Newport Folk Fest in 2019. Recording Andrew’s meditative masterpiece of a song ‘Wildflower and Barley’ was our first time in the studio together. Hozier & his co-producer, Jeff Gitty, were an absolute delight to work with and taught me a veritable Master’s Class in the subtleties of vintage mics, plate reverb and sonic exploration during our day at EastWest Studio in LA last year. It’s an honor to be a part of this wonderful project and to collaborate with Hozier — an Artist, Writer, and Freedom Singer for the Ages. Looking forward to the tour!”
Released August 18 via Columbia Records, Unreal Unearth debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and follows a captivating thematic arc informed by the turbulence of the world and the fight for a better and brighter tomorrow. The 16-track LP received both fan and critical acclaim, landing on various year-end lists with Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, American Songwriter, and more naming it one of the ‘Best Albums of 2023.’ Listen HERE.
With over 1.6M tickets sold across 2023-2024, Hozier’s global ‘Unreal Unearth’ tour will return to North America next month after a momentous sold-out run in 2023 that included the Irish troubadour’s first shows at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl. Kicking off April 20 with Allison Russell joining on select dates, Hozier will perform a whopping 59 new shows across the US & Canada featuring stadium, arena, and amphitheater performances nationwide including four sold-out nights at Forest Hills Stadium in New York and three nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Additionally, Hozier will be a mainstay along this summer’s festival circuit with prominent sets at Jazz Fest, Boston Calling, Lollapalooza, and more. See full North American routing below.
