Toronto, Canada (Friday, April 26, 2019) – In celebration of the highly anticipated global hit series’ final season, Columbia Records and HBO have released the star-studded and sonically diverse album For The Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones) today. The 14-track collection was executive produced by Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Reed, and the show creators D. B. Weiss, & David Benioff. The eclectic album features the epic lead single “Power Is Power” by SZA, The Weeknd and Travis Scott. Along with the single, fans now have the new official single lyric video, which features footage from the show and highlights the evolution of the three major characters that the song was inspired by. This is first time HBO has partnered up with a major label to curate an inspired-by album specifically for the series that features brand new songs from an array of music’s biggest global superstars. The genre-spanning album serves as an extension of the Game of Thrones® experience and was inspired by the show’s iconic storylines and themes.
