BLEACHERS RELEASE NEW TRACK “HOW DARE YOU WANT MORE” ALONG WITH LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO
THIRD ALBUM TAKE THE SADNESS OUT OF SATURDAY NIGHT TO BE RELEASED JULY 30TH 2021 – AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER NOW
Today, Bleachers release their new track “How Dare You Want More” along with a live performance video of the song. Check it out HERE. Already a fan favorite, Bleachers debuted this track last month during their much celebrated performance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where they were the first full band to perform in studio in over a year. Watch HERE.
Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff says: “over the past few years i found out things about my family that challenged some of the myths of our structure. ive felt rage, fear, darkness etc around it, but at the end of the day what i am left with is that everybody wants a little more and going out there and trying to get it is something that can produce a lot of shame in people. so … how dare you want more? how dare you go out and get what you want? how do you ask for it when you’re not sure if you even deserve it? its an easy song to write about the people in my life and the hardest thing to do to oneself.
this one is the band on fire. testing the boundaries of how close we can get to the edge without falling off. this recording could not have happened with any other group of people and its the direct sound of all the time we’ve spent on the road and how we’ve learned to know what each other is going to do. the band is carrying me through.”
In May Bleachers’ released their new single “Stop Making This Hurt” along with the music video, directed by Carlotta Kohl. Watch HERE. Bleachers third LP Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night will be released July 30th, 2021 via RCA Records. About Bleachers
Bleachers are set to release their highly anticipated 3rd album Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night due out July 30th 2021 via RCA Records. In late 2020 they offered up the first taste of new music to preview the album with the release of “Chinatown” ft. Bruce Springsteen and “45”. This music is the follow up to their critically acclaimed second album, Gone Now, which came out on June 2nd, 2017. The first single “Don’t Take The Money” hit #3 at Alternative Radio. Ahead of the album release, The New York Times put out a piece that called Bleachers’ new music “anthemic life-affirming pop-rock”. Bleachers, who are known for their incredible live shows, headlined a North American tour in support of the album, which included a number of major festival dates like Sasquatch Festival, Governor’s Ball, and Firefly Music Festival. Five-time Grammy® Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Jack Antonoff, is the creative force behind Bleachers.
