(October 18th, 2024) Continuing a rapid ascent fueled by uncontainable fan enthusiasm and impressive numbers, rising rapper ian unveils his anxiously awaited new project, Goodbye Horses, out now. Listen HERE.
Ian turned up the heat all around on his follow-up to his 2024 viral breakout Valedictorian. The 13-track Goodbye Horses flaunts his clever bars and undeniably catchy hooks front-and-center. “Sh*t Sad” revolves around a triumphant loop boosted by horns and strings and a signature Chief Keef cameo. As momentum picks up, ian proclaims, “Baby I swear we’ll be just fine, but Goddamn you really know how to kill my vibe. I’m not playing!”
Elsewhere, Reign pulls up on “Big Wigs,” while Eyesis ignites the finale and title track “Goodbye Horses.” During the latter, ian wrestles with the complexities of newfound stardom. Coated in a warbling melody, his emotionally charged croon transfixes as he relays a revelation, “I think I found the way that I’m gonna take until it’s over.” He revs up “Showboat” with a chantable chorus, “I don’t know what you do, but you do it real good.” Simultaneously, he leans into a fast-paced flow on “My Call,” slowing it back down slightly for the refrain, “I love when you do that little thing you be doing.” Then, there’s “Out West.” Mesmerizing keys underline his deft lyricism as he boasts, “The paper ain’t never gone change, everybody around me proud of me.”

He paved the way for Goodbye Horses with “End Up Gone.” The latter has already stacked up over 5 million streams and counting in addition to receiving acclaim. HotNewHipHop likened it to “a victory lap,” and Ratings Game Music professed “‘End Up Gone’ might be ian’s most authentic release of the year.“
Ian broke the news of the mixtape during PlagueBoyMax’s Twitch stream earlier this month. Shortly after, he posted the artwork to his Instagram generating buzz across social media. Plus, he hosted a special Atlanta listening party, welcoming surprise special guest Lil Yachty!

ABOUT IAN
ian shook up the game upon arrival earlier this year. His debut Valedictorian [Deluxe] generated hundreds of millions of streams fueled by “Magic Johnson” with over 100 million streams alone, “Figure It Out,” and “Never Stop.” Recently, he linked up with Lil Yachty on “Hate Me,” reeling in over 60 million streams and counting as well as 10 million-plus views on the Lyrical Lemonade-helmed music video.
ian began 2024 as a freshman in college, but, thanks to his distinct sound and effortless relatability, he’ll be ending the year by performing at sold-out shows across the country for his adoring fans. From the wordplay inspired by one of the NFL’s all-time great personalities, Marshawn Lynch, on his breakout single “Figure It Out” to the meme-referencing cover of his debut project, Valedictorian, ian is naturally fluent in the digital language of his generation. As he prepares to release his second project, ian is pushing beyond the viral moments and doing what’s always come naturally: continuing to evolve.
