Multi-BRIT-nominated, double-platinum-selling South London artist Cat Burns delivers her anthemic brand new single, ‘alone’.
Produced and co-written by award-winning British producer Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Charli XCX), ‘alone’ is a captivating listen, filled with uplifting vocal harmonies and fluttering guitar melodies underpinning Cat’s heartfelt vocal and honest lyricism. Already a hit with her ‘Burners’ on social media and Clara Amfo’s ‘Hottest Record’ this week, Cat’s new single follows her stripped-back version of previous offerings ‘know that you’re not alone’ and ‘Wasted Youth’, her collaboration with East Midlands producer goddard.
Following her appearance in JD Sports’ Forever Forward campaign, alongside Central Cee, Joy Crookes, Nia Archives and Kano, Cat has been unveiled as an ambassador for New Balance.
2023 marked a phenomenal year for Cat Burns. Following her three BRIT Award nominations (‘Song of The Year’, ‘Best Pop/R&B’ and Rising Star), BBC Sound Poll 2023 shortlist induction and an Ivor Novello ‘Rising Star’ nomination, Cat made her mark on live stages around the world. She completed a sold-out debut run of North American dates, growing her community of fans, whom she affectionately calls ‘Burners’. She also opened for Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran on their respective global tours, making her mark on several stages last Summer, debuting at Glastonbury and the Governor’s Ball in New York, as well as appearances at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and TRNSMT Festival. Cat will perform at In It Together Festival, Mighty Hoopla and The Big Feastival this Summer.
A moving and sentimental ballad, new single ‘alone’ introduces a new era for Cat Burns.
