{Janary 26, 2024 – Nashville, TN} – Oklahoma native/Texas-based troubadour Corey Kent releases his new track, “This Heart” (LISTEN HERE). With highly evocative lyrics and heartbreaking imagery reflecting the feelings stemming from the end of a relationship, Kent delivers yet another hit that demands attention and praise. First teasing the emotion-filled single on social media back in August, it is no surprise that Kent received an overwhelming response from his fans making this track his most anticipated release to-date; garnering nearly 20 million views on the sound on Tiktok already.
The release is accompanied by an official music video (WATCH HERE). Directed by Gus Black (“Something’s Gonna Kill Me”), the video depicts a relationship falling apart and the downhill spiral that can follow. Full of epic landscapes, tumultuous characters, futile actions, and emotional warfare, viewers are taken on a heart-racing journey that bring Kent’s song to life.
“Some songs take on a life of their own. They demand to be put out into the world. I’ve been lucky enough to experience that a time or two. But never like this…our most highly anticipated release ever and it’s not even close. You guys have waited patiently, and we promised you it would be worth the wait. Well, now this song is yours. “This Heart” was written by Thomas Archer, Blake Bollinger, Jacob Hackworth and Michael Tyler and produced by frequent collaborator Chris Farren.
Kent is entering 2024 with quite the momentum—officially reaching gold status with “Something’s Gonna Kill Me.” The track has over 80 million streams worldwide and is working its way up the country radio chart. Kent is currently touring in the UK with Ashley McBryde will soon be joining friend Parker McCollum on the “Burn It Down” tour for 39 dates in the states beginning in February.
