Today, Toronto-based singer, songwriter and producer sunsetto is sharing his new single & video, “too fast.” Layering an indelible, haunting chorus over an acoustic hook, sunsetto explores the power of attraction with compelling lyrics like “probably should be cautious / but you make it hard to do.”
“‘Too Fast’ was inspired by the feeling of entering a new relationship and not wanting to take things slow because the vibe is so good,” sunsetto explains. “I wrote the song with no music, I was just hitting my chest on a voice memo and Lenno (producer) built the track around that.”
The exhilarating music video for “too fast” was directed by sunsetto’s frequent visual collaborators Griffin O’Toole and moosecanfly.

About sunsetto:
sunsetto (aka Kyle Mischiek) is a Toronto-based singer, songwriter and producer. Skating past genre lines and assembling a nocturnal mosaic of R&B, alternative and pop, his evocative vocals dip in and out of hazy loops, stoned D.I.Y. beats, and flourishes of cinematic production beamed out of his personal studio yet meant for mass transmission.
During 2020, he shared a snippet of his single, “don’t leave,” on Instagram and organically amassed hundreds of thousands of streams. He has followed up the initial viral buzz with a multitude of new songs like “late to the party,” “on the side (ft. Calabasas),” and “drugs are for fun,” earning attention from tastemakers like EARMILK, Ones To Watch, and Fashionably Early.
