Toronto, ON – August 13, 2021 – Critically acclaimed, GRAMMY® Award-winning genre-melding singer, songwriter, and producer, Lonr., returns today with the desire-filled single and video, Read My Mind, featuring Yung Bleu. The song arrives ahead of his forthcoming EP, Land of Nothing Real 2, due this fall. Read My Mind is an emotional, affecting ballad about running away with the one you love, built around swooning synths and gentle piano lines. The track shows Lonr.’s depth as a songwriter and his dedication to creating tracks that represent his headspace in a way that feels honest and vulnerable.

In the visual, which is directed by Matthew Earl (Young Thug, Skepta, A$AP Rocky) and premiered earlier today via Paper Magazine, Lonr. rides in a luxurious limo, surrounded by cheerful people, but he craves simpler pleasures with one special person. The viewer is taken directly through his eye and into his mind, where everybody but her disappears. They run freely in the night as their smiles shine brighter than the stars above. Dreamy and intimate, it’s an appropriate accompaniment.

“This is a song about relationships that we want to happen or work out, but might not have a chance,” Lonr. explains. “Whether it’s being afraid of commitment or the wrong place at the wrong time, these are thoughts we have about someone we can love.”

Lonr. has been channeling thoughtful themes like these into poetry since he was a child, a self-taught songwriter and producer who’s early work found him contributing his gifts to projects that earned him GRAMMY® gold. His debut project, Land of Nothing Real, which included the viral TikTok favourite A.M., and smash Billboard radio #1 in the H.E.R.-featuring cut, Make the Most, officially marked the beginning of Lonr.’s solo career last year.
