TORONTO, ON – JUNO Award-winning singer/songwriter Tenille Townes has officially set a new Mediabase Canada record with her latest single “Girl Who Didn’t Care.” A milestone debut for Townes, the track is now the #1 Most Added this week with over 32 stations across the country adding the record upon impact. This new benchmark of 32 surpasses the previous high set by Brett Kissel’s “Make A Life, Not A Living,” which had 31 adds earlier this year.

“I’m really grateful to feel so much love on this song from all my friends at Country Radio at home. Their belief in this adventure and in this new music means so much to me!! And so thankful for the entire team at Sony Music for all their hard work to lift up this song in such an incredible way!” says Townes about the track’s success.

“Girl Who Didn’t Care,” released on June 25, was included in Rolling Stone’s Best Country Songs of the Week on June 28, while the track was added to prominent global Country playlists All About Country on Spotify and Today’s Country on Apple Music. Townes was also featured as the cover star for the playlists Live Country on Spotify, Canada’s Country on Apple Music and Fresh Country on Amazon Music.
